- Not one hero product
- Arabic-first
- Laid out right to left
- Repeat
- Campaign after campaign
The problem
A styling appliance is a hard thing to photograph well and an expensive thing to reshoot. Okema sells a catalogue of them — straighteners, curling brushes, ceramic brushes — each in several finishes, each needing product imagery, campaign visuals and motion for a storefront that runs right to left in Arabic. Doing that with a photo studio means booking one every time a colourway changes.

What we did
- Modelled the products so a new finish is a material change rather than a new shoot, which is what makes a catalogue affordable to keep current.
- Animated the mechanisms — heat plates, airflow, bristle geometry — because the thing that justifies the price is inside the housing and a photograph cannot show it.
- Held one art direction across product, campaign and storefront, on a warm travertine set that carries the whole range.
- Cut everything to the shapes the storefront and the feed actually need, in a layout that reads right to left.

Where it landed
A product library that keeps up with the catalogue, and a repeat relationship across campaigns instead of a one-off shoot.

3D product animation
“Our products are difficult to photograph and expensive to reshoot, and the part worth paying for is inside the housing where a camera cannot go. They modelled the range once, and now a new finish is a material change instead of a studio booking. The animation shows people what the plates and the airflow actually do, which is the whole argument for the price.”
